Carey, a former top fashion model who stands at nearly 5'10" was well-liked by American fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father, who was a renowned scientist who won the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists 1979 Scientist of Year award, is a highly respected geologist. Carey was a frequent traveler due to her father's work.
