Rodrigo Alves was born to the parents of a Brazilian mom and the British father on the 30th of July 1982 in Sao Paulo. Roserval Alves (her father) is from Portugal, and came to Brazil in 1944. "The primary activity of the Alves family was agriculture. However, they later increased their involvement in retailing and property. At the age of five, young, her grandfather bought his daughter Barbie dolls. Although Alves was identified as a male at birth, but from "the age of three, four, five, six" she perceived herself to be female, dressed in cross-dressing and played with dolls. She believes that gender shouldn't define anyone. Alves was shy and bullied during her early years. At the age of nineteen, Alves had a hormone malfunction, and excess estrogen that caused breast tissue to increase in size; her other features were also picked on by the bullies. [9][7] Her family has several grocery stores in Brazil that have made them successful, however, at the time of writing, Alves has not made any profits from these shops. Alves was able to move to London when she was just 18 and majored in public relations in London's London College of Communication.
