AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as an attacking player. She is also the captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division in professional soccer for women. From 2018 to 2020, she served as co-captain for the women's national soccer team of America with Megan Rapinoe. After graduating earlier from the University of California, Berkeley, where she played with the California Golden Bears, Morgan was picked as the first overall selection in the 2011 WPS Draft by the Western New York Flash. Morgan made her debut as a professional at the club and helped the team win the league championship. Morgan was just 22 at the time, and was the youngest player on the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. She scored the winning goal in the match against Canada during the 123rd minutes of the semi-final match of the 2012 London Olympics. She was able to finish 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists, joining Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and score 20 assists in the same calendar year , making her the sixth the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. The following year, she was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of Year and was also a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan helped the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was also included in the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
